Welcome to Catholic Infertility UK

On my trying to conceive journey, I became interested in what the Church had to say about fertility issues, especially when it became clear things weren't going to happen as quickly as expected!

I discovered that resources and support for Catholic couples struggling to conceive are few and far between. There was some information available, but it was scattered far and wide. And there seemed to be a good deal of confusion about the Church's stance on assisted conception.

Websites for couples trying for a baby were useful, but inevitably referred to IVF/ICSI and other treatments that weren't open to us as Catholics. As time went on it became harder to deal with this, as I felt I was so separate from the other women on the websites I visited. To desperately want something but not be willing to take some specific paths to get it can be very hard to deal with.

So I decided to put together a website for people in the same position. My vision was that it would be a source of information, a navigation map to useful sites, and a community and support for Catholic couples struggling to conceive.

I'm teaching myself web design, so please be patient with me whilst I add content. If you have any comments/suggestions for content, or just want a chat, you can contact me here. I would really love to hear from other couples in the same position, and hope to publish real life accounts of others' journeys.

I hope this site brings you some peace and support.

Sarah
